Cédric Bossart, acting Hospital Manager of Clinique Bois-Cerf, will take up the newly created position of "Head of Radiology Development" at the Hirslanden Group on 1 April 2021. Through this personnel change, Hirslanden Lausanne is strengthening its regional network concept and placing the two hospitals Bois-Cerf and Cecil under one management. For the time being, Jean-Claude Chatelain, currently Hospital Manager of Clinique Cecil, will take over the management of both hospitals. He will be followed by Inka Moritz on 01 September 2021, who will join the Hirslanden Group at that time. Jean-Claude Chatelain will then remain with the Hirslanden Group as a strategy consultant for the West Region.
In his new role as Head of Radiology Development, Cédric Bossart (48) will be responsible for the structuring of the framework conditions for the radiology division throughout Switzerland on a strategic and operational level. He will take on his new role on 01 April 2021. With the creation of this position, Hirslanden will strengthen radiology as an independent business unit and take a further step towards becoming an integrated healthcare provider. Jean-Claude Chatelain, Hospital Manager of Clinique Cecil, will manage both Hirslanden hospitals in Lausanne from the beginning of April until the end of August and will then be available to Inka Moritz and the West Region in an advisory capacity. He will retire on 31 March 2022.
Under the leadership of the two Hospital Managers Bossart and Chatelain, the Clinique Bois-Cerf and the Clinique Cecil have further established themselves as first-class medical care centres. "The Executive Committee thanks Cédric Bossart and Jean-Claude Chatelain for their many years of successful work as managers of the Hirslanden hospitals in Lausanne. Both have significantly and sustainably developed the Lausanne medical site for Hirslanden. The Executive Committee warmly welcomes Cédric Bossart in his new role as Head of Radiology Development at the Group's headquarters and thanks Jean-Claude Chatelain for his further valuable commitment to the West Region", says Stéphan Studer, Chief Operating Officer West Region of the Hirslanden Group.
Through the joint management of both Lausanne hospitals in the future, Hirslanden is strengthening the regional network concept in order to better harness the synergies between the two hospitals and to further develop the Lausanne site in a targeted manner.
Inka Moritz (51) will take over the management of both hospitals from 1 September 2021. Since the end of 2017, Inka Moritz has been Director General of the University of Health in Lausanne, where around 1200 students are currently being trained in nursing, physiotherapy, medical-technical radiology or as midwives. Before that, she worked at the University Hospital Lausanne (CHUV) for ten years. From 2012 to 2017, as Company Secretariat of the CHUV, she was responsible for political issues and communication with the health department, but also for maintaining relationships with university institutions, business associations and other hospitals. Before that, she worked at the CHUV for two years as the administrative director of the Department of Clinical Neuroscience and four years for the Department of Musculoskeletal Medicine. Before joining the CHUV, she was the Hospital Manager of the Hôpital Orthopédique de la Suisse Romande and, in this role, assisted with its merger with the CHUV. Previously, she was Deputy Company Secretariat of the Vaudois Medical Association for four years.
Inka Moritz holds a Masters in Political Science and a Master of Advanced Studies in Health Economics and Management from the University of Lausanne. She also completed the "European Health Leadership Program" at the INSEAD Institute in Fontainebleau / Paris. She also has a degree in physiotherapy and has practised this profession for several years.
"We are very pleased that, with Inka Moritz, Hirslanden has been able to gain a proven expert in the health and hospital sectors," says Stéphan Studer. He continues: "Inka Moritz is well connected in the canton of Vaud and, thanks to her many years of experience as Hospital Manager, is the ideal choice for the careful development of our two Lausanne hospitals, Bois-Cerf and Cecil. Under her overall responsibility, we will offer the population of the canton of Vaud a wide range of outpatient and inpatient services that are even more closely coordinated."
