Daniela de la Cruz, Hospital Manager of Hirslanden Klinik Beau-Site in Bern has been appointed CEO of the Swiss Cancer League. She will leave the hospital at the end of September.

Daniela de la Cruz has been working for the Hirslanden Private Hospital Group since 2015, initially as Hospital Manager of Klinik Birshof in Münchenstein Basel and since 2017 as Hospital Manager of Klinik Beau-Site in Bern.

Under de la Cruz’s leadership, Klinik Birshof in the Basel region established itself as a first-class provider of medical care specialising in the musculoskeletal system. The range of spinal surgery procedures was expanded, and ear, nose and throat (ENT) services were added to the hospital’s specialisations.

Under the leadership of Daniela de la Cruz, Klinik Beau-Site in Bern positioned itself as a cross-regional centre for specialised and highly specialised medicine. Among other projects, the hospital entered into pioneering cardiac surgery cooperation with Inselspital. In this way the hospital is making an essential contribution to providing healthcare for the people in the Bern region. Together with Hirslanden Salem-Spital, Hirslanden Klinik Permanence and Hirslanden Klinik Linde it is an important cog in the tiered healthcare model pursued by the Hirslanden hospitals in Bern.

The Executive Committee of the Hirslanden Private Hospital Group would like to warmly thank Daniela de la Cruz for her dedicated commitment and great achievements in the past few years and wishes her all the best and every success for this new challenge.

The search for a new Hospital Manager for Klinik Beau-Site is already under way.
