Certification to carry out high doses radiology is not intended for radiologists but rather for doctors practising general internal medicine, paediatrics and adolescent medicine, neurology, medical oncology and general medicine so that they can carry out and interpret radiology examinations by themselves.
Certification involves acquiring the theoretical and practical knowledge to assess the need for high doses radiology examinations, and to carry out and assess these examinations. It also requires doctors to have comprehensive knowledge of radiation protection and the possible health consequences of radiological examinations.
