Since 2019, Hirslanden Klinik Aarau and Klinik Barmelweid have maintained a close cooperation in the treatment of patients. The cooperation includes accompanying psychosomatic treatments, pneumological services and rehabilitation, especially for cardiology and oncology patients. In addition, the Institute of Radiology at Hirslanden Klinik Aarau has been producing the findings of the X-ray images taken at Klinik Barmwelweid since mid-2023. The cooperation will strengthen the Westaargau treatment network and integrated care.
Integrated care ensures an optimal patient pathway across institutions. The improved interfaces increase the quality of treatment and speed up the process, which directly benefits patients. Such cooperations are forward-looking and increase the quality of healthcare in the region.
