The Hospital Internal Medicine Department cares for medical pathologies requiring emergency or elective hospitalisation.
Patients can be referred by their attending doctor, by the Emergency Centre or by another hospital establishment. Internal medicine is a cross-disciplinary specialism that allows complete, multidisciplinary care of adult pathologies, including in a postoperative context. This comprehensive approach allows for a diagnosis and therapeutic follow-up based on the latest good practice recommendations to offer patients an optimum care plan.
Our technical facilities include:
- an on-call internal medicine doctor 24/7
- a medical and interventional cardiology unit
- a continuing care department
- a radiology department
- a laboratory
In addition, access to all of the specialties at Campus Hirslanden Geneva (La Colline and Grangettes) is guaranteed. If a specialised examination that is only available on the Grangettes campus is required, transport between the two establishments is organised to ensure seamless care.
The team of hospital internal medicine doctors is available to doctors with their own practices on +41 22 702 26 00 to organise care for their patients in close collaboration with them.
