The new operating theatre at Hirslanden Clinique des Grangettes contains the latest technological equipment to guarantee an exceptional quality of surgical care.
Fully integrated operating rooms
The Clinic's new operating theatre has five universal operating rooms and one recovery room. Benefiting from the latest technological advances, it has been designed in a fully integrated way: screens, cameras and lamps are fully incorporated into the walls, by a system of suspended arms, and free up floor space for the surgical team. Half of current surgical operations are performed with video assistance and the latest technologies have been used in this field. These larger (50m2) and more ergonomic rooms also allow permanent communication with radiology, medical informatics and remote control of the various devices.
Ultra-high definition in the operating room
Since December 2017, the operating room rooms have been equipped with 4k technology, i.e. cameras allowing the projection of ultra-high definition images.
The camera features a sterile, single-use sheath for unparalleled precision shooting. The projection screens are also larger and offer the surgeon additional operating comfort and safety for his procedures.
The Clinique des Grangettes is a pioneer in this field since it is the only establishment in Geneva to have such equipment for its operating theatre.
Advances at the service of the patient
The structure of the block and the organization of the building make patient care more efficient and comfortable. It is thus possible to monitor the vital signs of the latter constantly and to control his condition until he returns to the room. IT developments also allow optimized management of the electronic patient record. This makes it possible, for example, to communicate patient information securely and quickly to his or her attending physician. More than forty people (sterilization agents, instrumentalists, room assistants and a biomedical engineer) work permanently in the operating room to ensure the best running of operations.
Operating room sterilization certified ISO 9001: 2008
Since 2012, the Clinique des Grangettes has been committed to ISO certification.
This indisputable label values the quality of care provided within the services concerned and also makes it possible to distinguish the procedures put in place to offer the patient excellent care.
In 2015, the clinic obtained ISO 9001 :2008 certification for the sterilization department of the operating room and thus guarantees good practice in the reprocessing of medical devices and materiovigilance.
