Patients with private insurance
Inpatient care
As far as hospitalization is concerned, the situation is different: the real cost of care is almost identical in the private and public sectors. But, basic insurance only pays about 30% of total hospital costs. In the public sector, the balance (i.e. all the rest of the actual bill) is covered by state subsidies.
Private hospitalization does not receive any state subsidy. In private, the patient pays the costs corresponding to his hospitalization.
Supplementary insurance - paid for by patients - replaces state subsidies and covers the difference between the share paid by basic insurance and the actual total cost of care.
Outpatient care
At the Clinique des Grangettes, all outpatient consultations and treatments are billed at the basic insurance rate. It is therefore not necessary to have additional insurance to consult on an outpatient basis (without hospital stay).
Patients with semi-private insurance
