The story of the Thalasso Bain Bébé at the Clinique des Grangettes is above all a story of women, the meeting between Sonia Krief and Audrey Blanc, head of maternity. Two passionate women with common values: those of accompanying parents in the discovery of parent-baby communication and training professionals in new practices.

Where did the desire to implement the Thalasso Baby Bath at the Clinique des Grangettes come from?
The maternity teams of the Clinique des Grangettes have always been looking to offer additional services to parents in order to promote harmonious relationships with their baby. In all our care, whether for a vaginal delivery or caesarean section, we very quickly propose to parents to experience skin to skin in order to promote the bond with their child.
The Thalasso bath is the culmination of our research and reflects the state of mind and involvement of professionals in this quest for well-being to share with families.
How did you discover Sonia Krief and why train the teams at Thalasso Bain Bébé?
The first images that were broadcast on social networks about Sonia's bath, now called the baby bath thalassotherapy, were very moving for us health professionals, because it questioned our practices of the bath given in our maternity wards.
After viewing these images, the teams discussed it among themselves and a project was born.
In November 2019 I decided to contact Sonia and she was immediately excited by this idea of forming motherhood, because we shared the same values.
At the time Sonia was creating the École du Bien Naitre with Clara and Charlotte. His wish was to share his know-how as much as possible in order to benefit as many babies as possible. Our collaboration would be able to respond to this desire and allow us to benefit from his experience. Today, the maternity ward of the Clinique des Grangettes has the exclusivity of this practice in Geneva. It is important to mention that it is not only a professional, but a whole team that is trained and shares these values of caring motherhood.
Sonia Krief is the co-founder of L'École du Bien Naitre and the creator of the Thalasso Bain Bébé. In her school, she welcomes hundreds of perinatal and parenting professionals on a daily basis wishing to train and enrich their approach with a fundamentally new expertise. It has surrounded itself with a multidisciplinary team and a network of professionals, doctors and researchers specialized in early childhood, i.e. 28 referent trainers.
The maternity team has benefited from her training and knowledge in order to be able to offer the Thalasso Bain Bébé from June 2021 at the Clinique des Grangettes.
