In the Quality Healthcare Initiative (QHI), hospitals from Germany and Switzerland have been committed to better quality in healthcare since 2008 - including all Hirslanden hospitals. QHI aims to boost the quality of treatment to the benefit of patients.
Founded in 2008, the Quality Healthcare Initiative (QHI) aims to promote quality improvement in medicine by means of innovative, efficient procedures and thus to set new standards. Now, more than 500 hospitals in Germany and Switzerland are participating in the initiative and voluntarily exceeding the statutory requirements with regard to quality assurance.
The QHI is based on three principles:
- Quality measurement based on routine data
- Results transparency through their publication
- Quality improvements through peer reviews
