Adrian Gertsch, now 67 years old, suffered from back pain even in his youth. After a wide range of treatments and 12 surgeries, neurostimulation gave him fresh hope of being able to live with less pain.
Around 1.5 million people in Switzerland suffer from chronic pain. There are many different causes of chronic pain, which makes it all the more challenging to find effective methods of treatment.
Adrian Gertsch, 67 years old, is one of these pain patients. His symptoms first developed when he was just 15, particularly in his back. After various treatments and surgeries, he decided to undergo a neurosurgical intervention in June 2020 and had a neurostimulator implanted. Since then, it’s been possible to significantly reduce his pain. He has started gardening again regularly, an activity that he never thought he would be able to do again.
