Its hearing is now fully developed. You will be able to feel how the baby reacts to your voice and external noises. Its brain continues to grow and develops the characteristic cerebral gyri.
Your child keeps storing fat and becomes increasingly chubby. Its head is no longer growing as rapidly as its body, arms and legs, so it starts to take on more normal physical proportions. The nose, eyelashes and eyebrows can be clearly identified, so it is becoming easier to recognise different facial expressions.
The baby and the placenta already take up a lot of space inside your body. They are pressing against your stomach and your bladder, so you might need to go to the toilet more frequently. Nevertheless you should continue drinking water regularly, as your body requires a lot of fluid at this stage.
