Your child’s movements are becoming increasingly controlled. Even the tiny facial muscles are reacting to signals from the brain. The foetus can furrow its brow, pull faces and yawn.
Its heart is fully developed. Its eyes have an iris, cornea and lens, but its eyelids remain tightly closed. The digestive organs start functioning.
Your child is now growing extremely fast and so is your womb. It might be pressing against your bladder and urinary tract and can sometimes cause you to accidentally pass a small amount of urine when you sneeze or cough. Despite this, you should still make sure you are drinking plenty of water. Good hydration can help to prevent possible urinary infections.
