Numerous oncological specialists collaborate closely at the Klinik Hirslanden’s Leukaemia and Lymphoma Centre to provide leukaemia and lymphoma patients with the best possible treatment. These medical professionals come from a variety of specialist areas (e.g. haematology, surgery, radiology, pathology, oncology, radiotherapy) and have extensive expertise in the treatment of haematological cancers. The specialists advise each other and jointly develop each patient’s personalised therapy plan.
Regular interdisciplinary tumour boards are held, so that the specialists can pool their knowledge and expertise. The doctors who meet on these boards discuss each patient’s treatment plan and the anticipated success of the treatment.
