As a gastroenterologist I can happily assure you my profession is absolutely fascinating and inspiring! Gastroenterology is one of the most rapidly advancing and important medical specialties, with extensive significance in the function and malfunction of most other body systems. The intestinal organs play a major role in many diseases, including those of the nervous or immune systems. The translation of this new knowledge into daily clinical practice is both my goal and my privilege. Hence my personal mission statement, “we care about your gut feeling”®.
