A diagnosis of breast cancer or breast disease has profound existential implications for most people. Both the disease itself and the medical treatments can be associated with a wide range of psychological, physical and emotional stress factors.
The diagnosis of cancer raises many questions in those affected and often causes great uncertainty. Fears about the future, depression or chronic fatigue may occur.
In such situations, the psycho-oncological support staff at the Hirslanden Breast Centre Bern Biel support both patients and their relatives and work with them to find ways of dealing with the new challenges. The aim is to accompany patients individually and to use resources to find support in the new life situation.
Further information on our psycho-oncological services is available in the following flyer.
